The Workplace Relations and Safety Minister has announced that the adult minimum wage will rise to $23.15 per hour from 1 April 2024. This is an increase of 45 cents per hour from the current rate of $22.70.  The new rate applies to Hours Worked from April 1st, regardless of the pay period dates.

In addition, the following changes will also take effect.

• ACC Earners Levy Rate increases to $1.60
• ACC Earners Levy Threshold increases to $142,283
• The Student Loan Threshold increases to $24,128, the repayment deduction remains at 12%
