During the discussion the point was raised that a large number of companies don’t have Employment Contracts, I hope you are not one of them.
It is a statutory requirement for every employer to have a written contract with all their employees and it is just crazy not to have one. What happens if you have a disagreement with your staff, your first port of call is the Employment Contract so without one the only real option is possibly lawyers, which is normally not the preferred option.
If you don’t have contracts then you should sort it out straight away. You can either get In-Sync to help you out or check out the Department of Labour website which has a fantastic online tool that lets you create a contract online.
