Not many changes this year and no change to the Holidays Act which is a blessing in my view as the proposed changes would do nothing to make the Legislation easier to comply with.

ACC Earner LEVY Rate

The ACC Earners Levy Rate has increased from $1.46 to $1.53.

ACC Earner LEVY Threshold

The maximum income to which the ACC Earners Levy is applied has increased from $136,544 to $139,384

Student Loan Threshold

The Student Loan Threshold has increased from $21268 to $22,828.  The deduction remains at 12%.

MINIMUM WAGE

The minimum wage increases to $22.70 an increase of $1.50.  The new minimum wage rates will come into effect on 1 April.  The new minimum Youth / Training Rate increases to $18.16 (80% of the Adult Rate).
