Well I’m not sure about you guys, but this year for us has just flown.
It was a year where a lot happened, Paula left us in February after about 15 years of dedicated service. She is now selling Real Estate in Whangamata (her cell is 027 572-9342 if you are looking for a holiday home up North). Christine started in February and has done a great job getting up to speed with everything.
Glynn left us in September for health reasons.
Also in September , Yvonne joined us and with her came about 30 new clients which have now all been setup bar two. I just ran out of time so close to Christmas to get them across.
Hopefully in 2014, for those of you based in Auckland, you will get to meet Yvonne as she is responsible for Customer Management (as well as processing your pays) so at some point expect a visit.
We changed our logo and colours, I never knew there was such a science around logo colours, have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDohoPavchc
Next year will again see some welcome changes. We will be introducing an Online Employee Kiosk (more info once we are happy with the design of it) which can be used for Leave Management and Timesheets. For those who are needing a more sophisticated employee management system (Rostering, Time & Attendance, Timeclocks) we will be partnering a lot closer with TimeTarget (www.timetarget.co.nz) who have a great system for day-to-day management of staff and which is used by quite a few of our clients already.
From a processing point of view, the main issues we have faced are incomplete forms (especially New Employees) and vague instructions or instructions hidden within timesheets.
On that note, in the 2013 year we processed 87,330 payslips for 5,832 people so things can get a bit hectic here at times so if forms could be completed fully and accurately then it saves on mistakes and having to chase information.
Well that’s about it for me for this year so I would like to wish you all a rewarding and Happy New Year. As for me, I’m off to South America to follow the Dakar Rally on motorbike. If anyone is interested, you can follow our progress Here but there will be nothing showing until about the 5th or 6th.
