Are you ready to have your say?

Levy consultation for the 2016/17 year opens today and runs through until 5pm, Friday 30 October. Jump online, join the conversation, and let us know what you think – this is your chance to help shape your ACC.

Your feedback is extremely valuable to us. It helps us confirm our proposals as well as challenge our thinking. Telling us what you think helps us prioritise what’s important to you, and it will go directly to the ACC Board who’ll use it to determine recommendations that go to the Minister for ACC and Cabinet.

We are proposing to:

  • reduce the Earners’ levy from $1.26 to $1.21 per $100 of liable earnings (-4% decrease)
  • reduce the Work levy from $0.90 to $0.80 per $100 of liable earnings (-11% decrease)
  • reduce the average motor vehicle levy from $194.25 to $130.26 (-33% decrease).

We are also proposing some other changes, including:

  • reducing the petrol levy by 1.2 cents per litre (from 6.9 cents to 5.7 cents)
  • an improved vehicle risk rating system
  • increasing the minimum and maximum liable earnings limits (for Work and Earners’ levies).
See what other people are saying, find out more information about the 2016/17 proposals, and read the proposals that are relevant to you by going to shapeyouracc.co.nz. While you’re there, tell us what you think by making a submission – it’s as easy as that.

We hope you’ll take the time to join the conversation and have your say. We want to hear from as many New Zealanders as possible so our Board have as much information as they can get to help form their recommendations.

This is your ACC, have a hand in shaping it
